Why are Library Learning Centres different?
Library Learning Centres offer a variety of courses supported by Birmingham Adult Education Service. Learn at your own pace in a friendly relaxed atmosphere.
Here are some examples of the courses on offer:
- CLAIT (Computer Literacy and Information Technology)
- Digital techniques using a scanner
Study at your own pace
Check out Self Study Learning. Teach yourself word-processing, learn a foreign language, develop your sign language skills or practice the Driving Theory Test or ask about all the other subjects on offer. Everything you need is available on loan or for use in Library Learning Centres and its all free.
Skills to help you with work
Libraries are accredited to give free and confidential advice on learning and work. Need to improve your computer skills? Learning Centres can help everyone from the complete novice to the experienced user.
- Create and print your own job applications and CVs free.
Free Internet access means that you can send and read your e-mails, and use the internet for research, without worrying about the cost.
- Use the Job Library for information to improve your employment and career prospects.
