Dragon at the Middle Earth Weekend

May is the time of year you can enter the magical world of Middle Earth at Sarehole Mill. The theme for 2012 is the 75th anniversary since the publication of The Hobbit by J R R Tolkien.

Middle Earth Weekend has exciting events and activities for all ages. Entrance is free, though there is a small charge for some of the activities. Come with an inspiring costume and take part in the competition, or relax and listen to poetry and music. Watch the Vikings fight, or you have a go at archery and find out for yourself how it felt to do battle in medieval times.

Come on the Heritage Bus Tour to see more of Tolkien’s connections with the area, or watch Shire Production's performances from Tolkien’s writing.
