My Dream Poem by Megan Bradbury

My Dream Poem

I wish that I were a bird,
A lark with a beautiful song,
A magpie with a dangerous thought to my name,
As I would signify wrong

Wish what you like, believe it or not,
That you're a wonder to be seen,
That you're a hero, a villain, a princess, a knight,
It'll never be more than a dream

I would like to be famous,
To be seen by the world as a star,
To be known all around, by people close by,
By people who come from afar

Wish what you like, believe it or not,
That you're a wonder to be seen,
That you're a hero, a villain, a princess, a knight,
It'll never be more than a dream

I would like to be rich,
Fistfuls of notes in my hand,
I'd have any luxuries I'd care to buy,
The most expensive in all of the land

Wish what you like, believe it or not,
That you're a wonder to be seen,
That you're a hero, a villain, a princess, a knight,
It'll never be more than a dream

I wish that I were special,
Someone who everyone knew,
Someone with freedom, to do what they liked,
Who could always afford something new

I'll wish what I like, I'll believe what I want,
I know I'm a wonder to be seen,
I'm a hero, a villain, a princess, a knight,
It could just be more than a dream
