Stories from the Web - Information for Parents
Do your children like books and stories?
Stories from the Web is a fantastic website with a range of fun creative activities for children, young people and families. There are three different areas to enjoy aimed at 0-7 years, 7-11 years and 11-14 years. The website encourages children and young people to find out about books, authors and poets and provides the opportunity for children and young people to have their own stories, book reviews and more displayed online in the Stories from the Web Gallery. There are also lots of fun games and activities.
If you live in Birmingham, you can use Stories from the Web for free at:
To get your free login pop into any Birmingham library and ask a member of library staff or email or telephone your local library.
You can use the website from home or in the library - ask staff if you want any help.
Staying Safe online
The "Stay Safe" logo in each area allows children and young people to find information, access links and do activities in which they can creatively explore issues of community safety on-line including Safer Travel, Anti-bullying and Internet Safety.
Parents can also find additional resources by clicking the logo for Adult information.
