One of the very first published editions which came out in concertina format. Later editions were in traditional book format. The pages making up the folds were reinforced with linen for added strength.
These were loaned to the library during the Beatrix Potter's Garden exhibition at the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery in 2005.
