Photograph of Nelson Street Girls' School (1913)
The following photograph is part of a volume of photographs of individuals and schools subscribing to the Children's Hospital Brick League 1913.
On the second row from the back and the second person from the left is a black girl. This therefore provides some evidence that there was a black presence in the schools during the early 1900s.
