Original Cape Coast Castle, 21st April 1799
Joseph Strutt Esquire,

Dear Sir
Some of the Natives having shewn me the enclosed Beads since closing my Letter to you, saying that they are almost worth their weight in Gold, I take the liberty of enclosing them to you. Should you be pleased to execute the Indent I have venturd to send you, I have to beg you will be so good as to add a small amount of those Beads to the same. The Ship that carries this to the Land of Bliss (Old England) being just about to leave this, I have only time to add that I remain, with much regard, Dear Sir your Mo Obedt S[ervant]
