Restrictions on what you can sell
There are some restrictions on what you are allowed to sell on your stall, for example alcohol and cigarettes are not allowed on any of the daily markets.
There are restrictions on the sale of material/fabric, net curtains and mobile phones and accessories. These restrictions are due to over-representation of these lines and this list is not exhaustive.
Seasonal restrictions - September to January
Greeting cards, wrapping paper, toys, jewellery, Christmas lines have seasonal restrictions. Consideration maybe given in these areas if the line is new to our markets or under-represented.
All allocated spaces for caterers are currently taken.
Loading bays and parking
Unfortunately, there is no designated parking for market stallholders, however there are numerous car parks nearby. You may use the loading bay area until 10am and after 16.30pm, but please note that this area is very busy and consideration must be shown to other traders also wishing to load and unload their goods.
The loading bay is at the bottom of Gloucester Street (off Upper Dean Street) between the Open Market and Rag Market buildings. Please note that this area is very busy and consideration must be shown to other traders. It may be useful to bring a wheeled trolley to assist with the carriage of your equipment from your vehicle to the stall.
