Data Protection Guidance Notes
The Data Protection Act works in two ways. It gives you "the data subject" certain rights. It also says those who record and use personal data must be open about how the information is used and must follow the twelve data protection principles that bind the Act together.
There are twelve guidance documents available for download below, each one details a specific area of data protection compliance.
If you require any advice or assistance about the Data Protection Act please contact your directorate contact officer or a member of the Corporate Information Governance Team on 303 4876 or email DP Contacts.
