Local Development Scheme
The Local Development Scheme (LDS) is a three-year project plan for preparing new planning policy documents, as well as listing all our current statutory policy document in the appendices.
It covers the period 2011-2014. The document includes
- timescales for new strategic planning documents, such as the Core Strategy, Aston, Newtown and Lozells Area Action Plan and Bordesley Park Area Action Plan,
- timescales for various new Supplementary Planning Documents - also see our Draft Planning Policies Page, and
- a record of all our existing statutory planning policy documents

The most recent LDS is below. Please note a number of documents in the appendices have since been revoked, as other policy documents have superseded them. The LDS is likely to be revised again soon to reflect these changes. In the meantime, please refer to the revoked documents list as well as the LDS below.
