Welcome to one of Birmingham’s newest, council-run leisure centres. The facilities comprise a large fitness gym, sauna & steam suite and a refreshment area where fruit, snacks and drinks can be purchased from vending equipment.

The fully-equipped gym is designed to accommodate all levels of fitness. If you’ve never used a council-run gym before, you will need to book induction session with one of our gym instructors, who will show you how to use the equipment safely, advise you on how to get the best results and help you achieve your fitness goals. Please ask at reception for details on how to book your induction session.

• The last ticket is sold 30 minutes before closing time
• Customers must leave the centre at closing time
• Men must leave the gym and changing areas before the start of women-only sessions
• Male members of staff may need to access the toilet or enter the gym in emergencies during women-only sessions. However, a warning will be given beforehand
• You must wear suitable clothing and footwear (tracksuit bottoms or shorts, a t-shirt and trainers)

Relax and recharge your batteries in our Sauna & Steam Suite. Both the dry heat from the sauna and the wet heat from the steam open your pores and help to clear out any impurities.

If you are on a low income or receive certain benefits, you may qualify for Passport to Leisure. We also have reduced rates for Passport to Leisure holders on our monthly cards and the Your Choice Membership scheme.

• Customers must be 16 years or over to use the sauna & steam rooms.
• Maximum of 2 hours per session.
• Customers must wear a costume and flip-flops at all times, underwear or being naked are not permitted.
• Last ticket is sold 1 hour before end of the session time.
• You must vacate the areas at the end of the session time.
• No hair dye, shaving, sharp objects, food or oils permitted.
• Body scrubs, face-masks and conditioners are only permitted in the shower area.
• Please dry off before sitting on your towel in the sauna.
• Please dry off to prevent excess water on the floor.
• Lockers must be used to store items. The locker operates with a £1.00 coin (returnable).
• Failure to follow the code of conduct, user guidelines or Health & safety information will result in customers being asked to leave and no refund will be given.
• No spitting or any other anti-social behavior is tolerated
• The centre operates a zero tolerance policy towards anti-social behavior and the police will be called, if necessary.
Health & Safety
• If you have a medical condition that is affected by heat you should not use the sauna & steam rooms.
• If you suffer from any of the following conditions or illnesses, you should not use the sauna & steam rooms: high/low blood pressure, pacemaker, heart condition, diabetes, pregnancy, blood disorders, open sores/wounds, contagious disease, upset stomach, or are ill in any other way.

If you are a Birmingham City Council employee or your company is part of our Your Choice Corporate Membership scheme, you are entitled to a further discount.

The Be Active Scheme is a free scheme open to Birmingham residents. We are working in partnership with the NHS to offer all Birmingham residents free swimming, group exercise classes and gym sessions. The scheme is currently ongoing.
