A short course for people who want to learn a few basic signs, have an understanding of how to communicate with a deaf person and find out about deaf culture.

Introduction to BLS for Healthcare Staff
A basic course for people who work in healthcare services and may come into contact with deaf colleagues, patients, service users, friends or relatives of patients. The course also gives an understanding of how to communicate with a deaf person and an insight into deaf culture.
Accreditation: Unit BSL 101 Introduction to British Sign Language (Healthcare)
10 sessions of 2 hours, Tuesdays 5.45pm to 7.45pm

Course Fees: £200.00 plus approximately £40.00 for accreditation

A basic course for people who work in frontline services and may come into contact with deaf colleagues, customers, clients, service users or any member of the general public. The course also gives an understanding of how to communicate with a deaf person and an insight into deaf culture.
Accreditation: Signature Unit BSL 101 Introduction to British Sign Language (Frontline)
10 sessions of 2 hours, Tuesdays 5.45pm to 7.45pm

Course fees: £180.00, plus approximately £40.00 for accreditation
