Brasshouse Translation and Interpreting Services (BTIS) has teamed up with

thebigwordGroup to bring BCC customers a new, instant access, low cost telephone interpreting service,

BTIS is Birmingham City Council’s own commercial interpreting and translation agency. thebigwordGroup is the leading national provider of telephone interpreting and already supports Birmingham City Council’s contact centre. In joining forces BCC staff can now take advantage of this service, with access to over 200 languages 24 hours a day. With an average telephone connection time of less than 60 seconds staff will be able to deal on-the-spot with language communication needs that arise and so offer a better service to our customers.

Head of BTIS, Carl Marshall says.

“This is a great way for BCC workers to get instant access to top quality telephone interpreting at a low cost. Unlike other telephone interpreting services there are no contracts and no minimum spend. All managers need to do is register with BTIS and we can allocate you your own personal access code.

Payable by the second your only cost will be for what you’ve used. Everything will be handled for you by BTIS.

Working with thebigwordGroup has enabled us to expand our range of services to provide the telephone interpreting service that we have wanted to provide for a long time. “
