My Care in Birmingham: Adults and Communities new adult social care website
Easy to find information and advice about adult social care
We have been working with a company called Quickheart to develop a new adult social care website for people in Birmingham. The new website, My Care in Birmingham, has 'user-friendly' pages that help you to identify your social care needs.
We are aiming to introduce the new website in three stages. Click here to see the first stage, the ‘information and advice’ pages of My Care in Birmingham.
The next step
We are now developing the second part of this website, an ‘assessment’ section to enable people to complete an online assessment of their adult social care needs.
This section is not available yet, but it has been part of our consultation on ‘A Vision for Adult Social Care in Birmingham’. Click here to go to the web page about our 'Vision for Adult Social Care in Birmingham’. We asked for your views about using the assessment part of the website to fill in the Self Assessment Questionnaire.
The Self Assessment Questionnaire will help us to work out, with you, what your social care needs are. The information in the Self Assessment Questionnaire is then used with the Universal Resource Allocation System (RAS), which is the set of rules we use to make sure we allocate money fairly to people who need our services.
