Commissioning Strategy for Carers
The Corporate Commissioning Strategy for Carers 2006 - 2011 is a statement of how services will be designed and delivered to Carers across Birmingham over the next five years. The strategy is aimed at Carers of people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and sensory impairment, mental health problems, older adults and young Carers. Birmingham Adults and Communities Directorate want to plan for services that provide quality information, advice and support to all Carers across all stages of their caring lives.
Our ageing population and advances in medical and assistive technologies mean that our chances of becoming a Carer will continue to increase. We need to ensure that Carers are recognised, valued and given as much support as possible.
We give as many people as possible the chance to express their views on this document.
