Meet the new Young Poet Laureate for Birmingham 2012-2013

Stand-up poet Jonny Fluffypunk will be performing and then presenting the 11 shortlisted finalists and the new Young Poet Laureate with their awards.

Suitable for children and young people aged 10+ and their families.

No tickets required, just turn up on the day.

This event is part of Young Readers Year Round; Birmingham Libraries' book festival for children and young people.

The entrance to Birmingham Library Theatre is situated to the left of the entrance to Birmingham Central Library next to the entrance to Birmingham Conservatoire. It is close to Paradise Forum, which has a range of lively bars and cafes, serving food and drink throughout the day and evening. But there is no access from inside the Forum.

It promotes the special collections and services of Britain's biggest and busiest Central Library by staging challenging literary events, author visits, local history talks and dramatic and musical performances.
