Civil advice and assistance from Birmingham Trading Standards
Trading Standards do not provide non-statutory civil advice and assistance (except to vulnerable consumers). In civil disputes Birmingham Trading Standards does not act or intervene on the consumer's behalf or contact traders to negotiate a resolution.
Visit the Citizens' Advice Bureaux consumer rights web pages for consumer advice and help with making a complaint.
If the matter is still not resolved following advice from the Citizens' Advice consumer service, you will need to take legal advice and/or seek a resolution through the Small Claims Court.
