School Term Dates
These dates are for all Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools in Birmingham. For information about Academies, Voluntary Aided and Foundation Schools please contact each school directly.
The school year starts in September. There are 195 school days in each year (39 weeks). Five of these days are reserved for training for teachers and support staff, therefore pupils spend 190 days in school (38 weeks) each year.
The dates for each school year are known and published 12 months in advance. The term dates for the year 2014 - 2015 are expected to be published by July 2013.
