Culture, Learning and Skills O&S Committee, Thursday 4th December 2014-2.00pm, Committee Room 3&4, Council House

Cllr Penny Holbrook, Cabinet Member for Skills, Learning and Culture will be presenting details of the recently launched Birmingham "Youth Offer". Members will also have the opportunity to discuss Birmingham's strategy for cultural provision for children and young people. The BBC will also be attending to present details of developments within the city.

Districts & Public Engagement O&S Committee - 9th December at 2pm Council House

Members will continue evidence gathering for the inquiry looking at the role of Councillors on District Committees.

Education & Vulnerable Children O&S Committee - 11th December at 2pm Committee Room 3/4

The committee will meet Lord Warner, the commissioner appointed to oversea children's social care in Birmingham, to discuss his role and the challenges currently facing the city.

Health and Social Care O&S Committee – Wednesday 26th November at 10.00am in Committee Rooms 3 & 4

The Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing will be attending to talk to Members about the Service Review Green Paper. The Committee will be tracking for the first time progress on implementation of recommendations in the Tackling Childhood Obesity Inquiry. Members will also receive briefings on the Better Care Fund and the Birmingham Safeguarding Adults Board Annual Report, as well as an update on Ebola from the Director of Public Health and Public Health England.
