Passport to Leisure Card - Terms and Conditions

1. The card is valid for 12 months from the date of issue


2. Birmingham residents are people living in a property where the council tax is paid to Birmingham City Council


3. Only the person to whom it was issued may use the card. It is not transferable and no more than one card will be issued to any person


4. The card must be produced on each visit to obtain a discount. Without the card, normal charges will apply


5. The card can only be used at facilities listed in the Passport to Leisure guide


6. To obtain Passport to Leisure rates for individual court hire for badminton, squash and tennis, at least one of the players must be a Passport to Leisure cardholder. Variable discount apply at Billesley Indoor Tennis Centre and Community Leisure Centres according to the number of Passport to Leisure cardholders playing at the time


7. Discounts do not apply on multi-activity sessions (eg Ladies' Recreation and 50+ Recreation)


8. To qualify for a discount on children's courses (eg Strikes and Strokes) the child must be a valid Passport to Leisure cardholder


9. The last PTL ticket for Erdington's Turkish Suite is 3.30pm and for Arthur Terry, Chamberlain Sports Centre and Moseley School Health & Fitness Centre is 5.30pm (Monday-Friday)


10. Cards may not be used after the expiry date


11. Cards must be renewed every 12 months. It is the responsibility of the cardholder to renew the card before it expires


12. If a cardholder changes name, a new card may be issued free of charge. Documentation will need to be provided as proof, e.g. marriage certificate


13. An administration fee may be charged for replacement cards


14. Passport to Leisure cardholders must notify the Leisure Card office of any changes of personal details or circumstances making them ineligible for the card


15. Providing incorrect information with the intent of defrauding the council will result in appropriate action being taken


16. We must protect the public funds we handle and so we may use the information you provide in relation to this application to prevent and detect fraud. This is in accordance with the Data Protection Acts, 1984 and 1998


17. Birmingham City Council is committed to eliminating racial harassment and attacks. The city council reserves the right to withdraw without compensation the Leisure Card of any person deemed to be in breach of its anti-harassment policy


18. Birmingham City Council reserves the right to withdraw the card and its advantages if the user abuses the scheme, other customers or staff, or makes a false application. The card will become invalid if tampered with in any way


19. The loss or theft of a card must be reported immediately


20. Reduced rates for Passport to Leisure Card holders do not exist for all services, (eg club/group bookings and team sports). In addition, concessions are subject to availability and may be altered or withdrawn without notice


21. The administration of this scheme is computerised and therefore registered with the Data Protection Registrar in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1984 and 1998


22. The card cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotions or special offers
