Birmingham Health Education Service is a National Centre of Excellence for Citizenship and Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE). It was established in 1990 and works nationally with all government departments, internationally with counterparts within the EU and across the country whilst still retaining the focus on working for the best outcomes for children and young people within Birmingham.
Within Birmingham the Health Education Service works in partnership with many organisations including all schools, the Primary Care Trusts, drug agencies, Safeguarding Board, Police, early years settings and voluntary and charity organisations.
Birmingham Health Education Service supports children and young people by offering high quality training either through courses or bespoke training in schools and other settings, consultancy, research and policy development and publications.

- sex, relationships, sexuality and HIV / Aids education
