Birmingham City Council

Planning Committee

The Planning Committee decides the bigger and more sensitive planning applications we receive. It meets every two weeks and is made up of Councillors from across the city. It usually meets on a Thursday morning (11.00am) in the Council House in Victoria Square.

You are welcome to attend this Committee and listen to the debate, or you can speak directly to the councillors who make the decisions on planning applications. You can now also watch the meetings online.

Speaking at the Planning Committee meetings enables members of the public and applicants to put their comments directly to the Councillors who make the decisions on planning applications.
