Licensing Statement of Licensing Policy

Under the Licensing Act 2003 licensing authorities are required to detail how they intend to operate and promote the licensing objectives in their area by publishing a Statement of Licensing Policy.

Birmingham City Council Licensing Authority is required to prepare and publish its Statement of Licensing Policy every three years. This details how we as the licensing authority intend to operate and promote the licensing objectives in Birmingham. As a licensing authority we must have regard to the licensing guidance issued by the Home Office and keep our Licensing Policy Statement under review and revised as appropriate.

The current Statement of Licensing Policy came into effect on the 16 October 2012 and is available to view below.
