Birmingham City Council

Note to Letterbox readers:

Birmingham City Council has decided to combine its magazine for council tenants and leaseholders – Letterbox – with Forward, its newspaper that goes out to all residents, in order to save money.

So, from the Autumn 2012 issue onwards, Forward includes a number of pages of articles designed to be of particular interest to our tenants and leaseholders.

You can view an interactive PDF of Forward at

Earlier issues of Letterbox are attached below in two formats: as digital versions of the print magazine (including all photographs, layout, etc.), and as large print versions (text only).

If you would like copies of Letterbox, please fill in the form at the bottom of this page.

Readers survey results

Back in the Winter 2011 issue we asked readers to fill in a short survey. Thanks very much to those of you that took the time to send your survey back to us...

  • an overwhelming 95% of you said that you read Letterbox regularly
  • 97% of you said that you find the articles interesting.

The four hottest topics that you'd like to see more in Letterbox are:

  • housing services
  • repairs
  • staying safe
  • antisocial behaviour.

Look out for the next readers' survey at the same time next year!

How Digital Are You?

Thank you to everyone who returned our digital survey in the Spring 2012 Letterbox or filled it in online. You can now view the results.
