Regeneration Through Conservation - Strategy
The Conservation Strategy seeks to highlight the opportunities provided by Birmingham's historic environment. We have a particularly rich industrial heritage and this document aims to promote urban regeneration within that context, both in the inner city and suburban areas.
The Conservation Strategy sets out the strong legislative and policy base that helps protect the built environment. It also details priorities in relation to Listed Buildings, Conservation Areas and Archaeology.
The Strategy was adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance in March 1999.
