The Birmingham Carers Centre offers a variety of services to support carers, including advice and information about your caring role.

For more information, you can:

  • drop-in to the centre to see the information on display or for a one-to-one chat (you won't need to make an appointment)
  • call the Carers Helpline on 0121 675 8000
  • come to a Carers' coffee morning, activity session or other events at the centre - ask at the centre for a copy of the What's On guide
  • get our monthly Carers' newsletter - call the helpline if you would like to know more about this.


Crossroads Opening Doors Project

The Opening Doors Project supports carers in training and employment through:

  • Basic IT training
  • Help with writing CV's
  • Job search and employment advice

Birmingham Carers Association (BCA)

BCA is a campaigning group of volunteers who aim to get the best for carers from both the City Council and the local NHS. We have an annual general meeting which offers our members a chance to discuss what is important to them with key people in the city. We also undertake surveys to the facts and produce regular newsletters to keep members informed.
