I was elected to the City Council as member for Kingsbury Ward, now
Tyburn Ward, in 2002. As a Councillor, I have always made myself available
to local residents and have represented their views on local issues as
effectively as possible.
Prior to becoming a Councillor, I was a
community campaigner for improved local services and a volunteer advisor
for the Citizens Advice Bureau.. As a member of the Council, I am now in
an improved position to influence decisions regarding the provision of
services for Tyburn Ward residents in Birches Green, Pype Hayes, Castle
Vale and Erdington..
