Kevin Collett Client Manager commented -’’The team at Birches Green Juniors was restructured at the end of the last school year when the assistant in charge left, but this has not stopped them.  Kim took up reigns and the team has gone from strength to strength.  Being a conveyed site has not stopped them.  They work tirelessly to ensure the children get a good meal every day.  They work well with the production kitchen at Featherstone and this makes for a great partnership.  Good communication makes it happen.   They know every child at Birches Green and they ensure that every special requirement is fulfilled so no child goes hungry.

I am delighted to hear that Kim and June are being put forward for a Cityserve Special Recognition Award. I fully support the nomination.

Kim Greenshields and June Taylor are an amazing duo. A fantastic team who work really well together. They come to school each day with a smile and whatever issues come their way the smile remains.

Both Kim and June know the children really well and know if they have special requirements and they ensure everything is in order for them.

They work professionally and efficiently at all times. On occasions such as Mothers’ Day Lunch and Fathers’ Day Lunch the hall is decorated beautifully and all parents are welcomed in true Birches Green style.

Kim and June are always willing to go the extra mile.

It is an honour and a privilege to have these two special ladies as part of our school team.
