Loneliness is associated with many health conditions such as depression and stress.;

Library Services at Home have introduced a Coffee Morning as our way of helping to combat loneliness by encouraging the elderly to get together. The coffee morning is a free event for invited customers of Library Services at Home.

The event gets people out of their homes for a few hours each month and offers an opportunity to socialise with one another over coffee and a cake.

The event takes place once a month on a Tuesday morning at Library Services at Home’s base in Erdington.

As well as our coffee morning we provide free regular scheduled visits to deliver books to your door. If you love reading but age, disability or caring responsibilities stop you from visiting the library, then let us come to you.
