Temporary traffic changes - Sunday 29 April

Changes will be in place around Broad Street/Paradise Circus

Further to our reminder in yesterday’s Birmingham Connected update that businesses and attractions on Broad Street remain open throughout the redevelopment works, there are some temporary changes to traffic routing required this Sunday, 29 April 2018:

  • The junction of Gas Street and Broad Street will be closed to vehicles between 10am and 8pm, for utility diversion works. Gas Street will become two-way under traffic marshal controls in order to maintain access.
  • Paradise Circus south bound lane will be closed overnight to install protective barriers ahead of main construction works. The closure begins at 10pm on Sunday and ends at 6am on Monday 30 April.

Bus services will not be affected by these changes and are a good option for travelling to and through the area.

Looking a little further ahead, on Sunday 13 May, the junction of Granville Street and Broad Street will be closed to vehicles between 10am and 8pm for utility diversion works.

These changes are being managed by Midland Metro Alliance, who can be contacted via communications@metroalliance.co.uk.
