year, sponsored by Emirates Airline. Free and open daily from 11am-7pm,
the beach is a great family friendly attraction, and also provides an
idyllic retreat for workers to relax.

News just in - Emirates Beach will now remain open until Sunday 5th
October!
On the beach is a driftwood café and bar, deckchairs
to relax in, and new for this year a bandstand hosting a range of
entertainment – all surrounding the central fountain in Chamberlain
Square. Storytelling sessions from Birmingham Central Library will keep
the younger visitors amused, while fitness sessions will keep the adults
in trim for the summer holidays.
With palm trees, soothing beach
sound effects and a 15 metre backdrop first showing an idyllic image of
Dubai, visitors to the city can relax with the sand between their toes
in their own tropical paradise.
This year visitors will also get
the chance to win fantastic luxury holidays to Dubai and other stunning
locations, courtesy of Emirates.
Find out how to enter the competition.
Organised by Birmingham City Council, a full schedule of events will be
taking place over the summer, providing activities and entertainment for
visitors of all ages. See below for full details.
Laurie
Berryman, Emirates' Manager UK North said: "We are thrilled to help
bring back this fantastic summer attraction to the people of Birmingham.
Our support of the Emirates Beach demonstrates our commitment to the
region and helps us highlight the ease of travelling direct to Dubai and
beyond from Birmingham".
