Plus special offers and details of books recommended and reviewed by library staff.

We’ll also be sending you e-mail bulletins to keep you up to date with events, reading lists and special offers.

As a library member all of this is free:

  • Borrow up to 8 books and 4 talking books for up to four weeks
  • Renew and reserve books online
  • Surf the net and e-mail
  • Research your family history using Ancestry library edition website - free on library computers
  • Free access to expensive websites, like Oxford Reference Online, on library computers, plus home and office computers
For a small fee you can also borrow from a wide selection of CDs and DVDs.

Female singerPrevious Competition Winners

The winner of the competition for tickets to see author Adele Parks was Tony Cowdrill.

Maeve Clarke won the tickets (with goodies) to see author, Elizabeth Noble

The Birmingham Book Festival competitions winners were Gordon Thornett for the John Simpson tickets and Alison Smith for the tickets to see Suzi Quatro.

The winner of the Sophie Kinsella competition was Lesley Dunning. She received her prize at the Girls Night In on February 13th.

The winner of the family ticket to see Danny, the Champion of the World at the Old Rep was Vic Tomlin

The winners of the Aston Hall by Candlelight competition were Nicholas Worley, Ian Tromp, Lucy Cross, John Lerwill and Maeve Clarke.
