Ladywood Arts Champion Partnership
2011-14 Birmingham Opera Company and Ex Cathedra will be working in partnership with Ladywood.

Here I Am was a multi media women's project looking at how the women take ownership of their homes and areas by producing a range of photographic and kinetic collages with a series of video diaries on the way the women feel about themselves and the areas that they live and work in.
Women working with images and material found in various areas across the Ladywood constituency and a selection of English Heritage gardens from across the West Midlands; organised by the Gateway Gardens Trust.
The project encouraged, developed and built upon the participants' artistic, interpersonal, development and community safety skills. Supporting the social development of women; their self confidence, self awareness of other cultures and their awareness of local areas and the environment.
In 2006 the project Unity explored the issues of how young people living within the Ladywood area view themselves growing up in the area and how they engage with other young people from different cultural backgrounds who also live in the area.
Unity provides the platform using the various art forms such as (Drama, Dance and Music) for young people to question the issues of cultural identity, what it is like for a young person growing up in a multicultural area & how they engage and relate to other young people from different cultural backgrounds who also live in the area.
