Access Planning Online -To Search for Planning Applications and Appeals Using Planning Online you can: Search for Planning Applications and Appeals submitted to Birmingham City Council since 1948. Comment on applications awaiting decision. View associated documents including plans and drawings - accepted on or after 01 December 2005. View decision notices for applications and appeals - decided on or after 01 December 2005 Monitor the progress of an application or appeal. Searching for Applications and Appeals Planning Online allows you to search using the application number. This will be available on any correspondence that we may have sent to you. If you do not know the application number you can carry out an advanced search by other means such as the application status, type, decision type, district, ward, location, applicant, agent, date registered or date decided. The information on how to view documents using Planning Online will give you a guide on how to access any accompanying application documents. More detailed Search Help is available. Commenting on Planning Applications Planning Online will provide you with the formal start and end dates for public consultation. However the "Comment on an application" button will be enabled until a decision is made. We would prefer comments to be submitted during the formal consultation period. Comments can be submitted after the end date but we cannot guarantee they will be taken into account. More information about comments and public consultations is available. Updates Planning Online is continuously updated throughout the day. Application and appeal details will only be made available online once we have checked that all information needed to accept the application is complete. Accompanying documents are also updated daily but will be available 1 day after the application or appeal has been accepted. Availability Planning Online is unavailable between 2:00 am and 2:30 am every morning. This is due to maintenance of our planning database. Limitations Planning Online allows you to view applications and appeals dating back to 1948. Please note that records prior to 1990 may be less detailed. Documents will only be available for applications and appeals accepted on or after 01 December 2005. Accessibility Please note that Planning Online will not function correctly if you have activated the block cookie feature on your web browser.
