Give them a chanceHELPING PEOPLE OFF THE STREETS AND INTO NEW LIVES

Don’t trap the homeless of Birmingham by giving to them directly, donate to ‘Change for the Better’ and be sure your money goes to help them improve their lives. ‘Change for the Better’ collection boxes are situated in various locations around the city centre: in shops, banks, offices and public buildings. Help us to help them.

DO YOU WANT TO HELP

We want to help people in Birmingham to escape the cycle of homelessness, rebuild their lives and
break their reliance on the streets.

We believe that this is best achieved by encouraging homeless people to access the
network of support services that are available to them.

We believe that street beggars often use the money they are given to buy drugs. This only
alleviates the symptoms of their situation rather than addressing the root causes.

We are concerned that giving money directly on the streets can trap some of the most vulnerable
people in a dangerous situation and provides them with little incentive to move on.

…make a change for the better to the lives of the homeless in Birmingham

…make sure that the money you give will help homeless people escape the cycle of homelessness and rebuild their lives

If so, make your change count, make a change for the better…
