Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF) - A38 Bristol Road

Birmingham City Council is working in partnership with Centro to deliver improvements for pedestrians, cyclists and bus users along the A38 Bristol Road.

The scheme is part of a larger Local Sustainable Transport Fund programme called Smart Network, Smarter Choices which is being delivered across the West Midlands.

It is intended to deliver the improvements along the A38 Bristol Road in two phases. Phase 1 is programmed for construction early in the New Year (2013) and will be located along two sections; between Belgrave Middleway and Bournbrook Road in Selly Oak and between Great Stone Road in Northfield and Rubery Bypass. You can view the preliminary proposals on the plans attached below.

Phase 2 will be located between Oak Tree Lane in Selly Oak and Great Stone Road in Northfield and is programmed for construction late 2013. Plans for this phase will be made available in due course.
