Shortcut to this page: http://www.birmingham.gov.uk/1app

A new national standard planning application form is now being used across the country, known as 1APP.

The 1APP forms replace Birmingham City Council's planning application forms. You can download the paper version of the new form from our planning checklists pages or by contacting us at Planning Direct. You can apply online via the Planning Portal.

You will also need to submit new information with your application. Details of these changes can be found on our Planning Application Checklists page.

You can find out more about the benefits of using 1APP here.

Birmingham Planning Application Validation Criteria

There is a new criteria concerning what information has to be submitted with a planning application for it to be determined. This validation criteria is split into National and Local requirements.

For any further information or for answers to queries on 1APP, please contact the Planning Portal or Contact Planning Direct.

Note for regular users

We have included this information a month before it legally comes into force to assist with application preparation. Applications made on the new forms before 6 April will be accepted but the validation criteria will be strictly adhered to on and after that date.
